Our story
Dhaka Planters began as a simple response to a city losing its greenery, with the goal of making it easier for people to bring plants into their everyday lives. What started with households has grown into a larger mission of building a greener Dhaka, one step at a time, not just through selling plants but by encouraging sustainable urban living. A key milestone in our journey has been our recognition under the ICCCAD Youth Innovation Fund 2025, exclusively open to the Youth Fellow 2025 cohort, which validates our vision and connects us with a community of young climate innovators. Today, Dhaka Planters continues to grow with a clear ambition, to move beyond homes and contribute to a greener, more sustainable city.
Mission
Dhaka Planters exists to make urban living more sustainable by bringing greenery into everyday households. We provide plants thoughtfully paired with clay planters, making it easier for people to adopt a greener lifestyle in a simple, accessible way. Beyond just selling plants, we aim to build awareness around environmental responsibility and inspire individuals to take small but meaningful steps toward a healthier city. Our business is not just about products, it is a platform to sustain and scale our mission of creating a greener Dhaka.
Vision
We envision a future where Dhaka evolves into a city filled with accessible and visible greenery, from individual homes to streets and public spaces. Dhaka Planters aims to go beyond household impact and play a role in shaping urban environmental practices at a larger scale. In the long run, we aspire to contribute to national environmental policies and become a driving force in sustainable urban development, helping build a city that is not only livable, but truly green and resilient.
